Before attempting to reproduce the content of an asset, Video Transfer will perform a thorough inspection to determine if the asset has any condition issues such as:

  • Damaged cassette shell
  • Malfunctioning dust cover
  • Missing or damaged tape guides
  • Loose or incorrectly positioned labels
  • Misshapen or stuck reels
  • Presence of contamination
  • Damaged tape
  • Broken splices
  • Failed magnetic coating binder

Video Transfer’s staff has a great deal of experience handling all types of audiovisual media and stands ready to spot potential trouble.  By checking for condition issues prior to attempting content reproduction, damage that could result from these problems is avoided.
