Chelmsford TeleMedia, the Town of Chelmsford, MA‘s cable station, asked VTBoston to digitize a collection of UMATIC videotapes containing film footage of important events occurring in the town during the 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. In addition to being preserved, some of the footage was included in their 4th of July programming.
Miami Dade College’s Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Moving Image Archives digitization project included 2” Quad, 1-Inch Type A, and 1 Inch Type C open reel videotapes. The digitized content includes Orange Bowl football, local WTVJ broadcasts and educational programs.
The Institute of Contemporary Art / Boston asked VTBoston to migrate its archive of UMATIC, VHS, and BetaSP videotapes to digital files for ongoing preservation. Their content documents many years of exhibitions and events, including interviews with artists from around the world.
